2014 EPGT

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

An applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. On behalf of Asian science and technology Association, candidates from Association for Scientific Cooperation in Asia (ASCA) and Asia pacific economic cooperation (APEC) are also preferred. Candidates’ English language proficiency must be good. (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking).

2. Academic Staff: Applicants must have PhD or Master degree from related disciplines. Candidates with more than two years of job experience in government agencies or research institutes engaged in energy research and environmental protection related work are also eligible to apply.

3. Research Staff: Candidates must be graduates from related departments. Candidates with more than two years job experience in government agencies or research institutes engaged in energy research and environmental protection related work are also eligible to apply. A recommendation letter from competent unit is necessary.

4. Graduate Student: Candidates must be a registered graduate student from related Departments. A recommendation letter from advisor is necessary.

5. Government and Private Sector Staff: Candidates with more than two years job experience in government agencies or research institutes engaged in energy research and environmental protection related work are also eligible to apply. In addition recommendation letter from competent unit is necessary.

6. The applicants have not participated in any of the previous EPGT workshops. Exemptions applied to limited invited participants.

7. Priority wise, certain quota are reserved for applicants recommended by “Science Division, Representative office of R.O.C.”

EVALUATION

Workshop participants are expected to attend all lectures, visiting sessions and to actively participate in the exercises and discussions. The participants are expected to pass evaluation that includes an oral presentation.

ACCREDITATION

Participants who successfully pass the evaluation will receive a Certificate of Completion.
