Medical Biophysics Program
Introduction
The results of a vigorous interaction between physics and biology lead to the promotion of physics in medical applications. Such applications are clinically supported by individuals who are trained by interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques in basic sciences and medicine. Thus it fosters the emergence of a new profession: medical physics.
Mission
Medical Biophysics (or Biomedical Physics) is an interdisciplinary applied science that integrates the basic sciences, engineering and biology in medical applications. This program consists of four specialties, i.e. Medical Biology, Medical Imaging, Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine. The courses offered in the program are provided by College of Life Science, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and College of Nuclear Science. Students' clinical trainings are supported by collaborating hospitals including Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital, Veterans General Hospital, National Taiwan University Hospital, Tri-service General Hospital, Koo Foundation Sun Yet-Sen Cancer Center, and Changhua Christian Hospital. The undergraduate Medical Biophysics Program is closely linked with the graduate Medical and Health Physics Program at the Department of Nuclear Science for supplementary Medical Physics training at National Tsing Hua University.
 
Curriculum requirement
1. A minimum of 15 credits in listed courses is required.
2. A minimum of 5 credits in core courses is required.
3. Courses taken should cover at least two specialties
