第 一 條 本校大學部新生，凡微積分、普通物理、普通物理實驗、普通化學等基本科目，經申請並通過測試者，得免修該科目但不給予其學分。
第 二 條
各學系新生合於下列條件之一，並經就讀學系同意，得申請參加測試。
  一、數理化資優保送學生及免試保送僑生（可同時參加各科測試）。
  二、轉學考試錄取學生（以有參加轉學考試之科目為限）。
  三、入學考試相關科目成績在該科全部考生名次前百分之五以內，並曾自修大一課程該科目教科書者。
第 三 條 測試於第一學期註冊前後十天內舉行，時間另行公告。
第 四 條 測試以筆試行之，考題之難易度以修畢該科應具備之程度為準，必要時得舉行口試及（或）在實驗室舉行考試。測試合格之標準由授課之學系訂定之。
第 五 條 各學系對通過測試免修同學之後續課程應予輔導。
第 六 條 本辦法經教務會議通過後實施，修正時同。
Exemption from required courses via qualifying tests
Courses for new students on Calculus, General Physics, General Physics Laboratory, and General Chemistry
第 一 條

Tsing Hua new students can be exempted from taking the required courses of Calculus, General Physics, General Physics Laboratory , General Chemistry, and upon application and qualifying tests. However the credits encoded to each course can not be included in the total credits required before graduation.

第 二 條
New students with any of the following prerequisites can apply for the exemption tests. An agreement of the individual department is moreover required.
  1、 Talented students in subjects of mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as overseas Chinese students free from entrance examinations (qualified for taking all tests at the same time)。
  2、Transfer students via qualifying entrance examinations (limited to the subjects already passed in the examinations)
  3、Students whose entrance examination score on the specific subject is within 5% of the total best participants and who have self-learned the specific teaching material for freshmen.
第 三 條 Qualifying tests will take place ten days before or after the registration date of the first semester. Place and time will be announced separately.
第 四 條 Qualifying tests will be held mainly in written form referring to the knowledge extent required for the specific subject when completed. Depending on situations, oral examinations or examinations in the labs are eventually necessary. Decisive factors for being qualified are dependent on those of the specific department.
第 五 條 The specific department shall arrange tutoring on continuous subject courses for those students passing the qualifying tests.
第 六 條

Any change or modification is subject to the agreement and consent of the academic affairs committee.
