1.What is "continuing education"?
People who are working can take courses along with regular students at the university. They will receive a credit certificate upon the completion of the course. If they are admitted to the university in a degree program in the future, they can apply the credits earned to their degree program, when it is deemed appropriate.
2.What are the qualifications for applying to the  "continuing education program"?
For undergraduate courses, a high school degree is needed; for graduate courses, a college degree is a must.
3.What is the procedure for applying to the "continuing education program"?
Please sign-up for the courses online after the registration starts; you also need to get the permission (signed) by the instructor before making your credit fee payment. For detailed regulations, please see the course registration guide.

5.How do I distinguish between undergraduate and graduate courses?
The course number indicates the difference between graduate and undergraduate courses. For example, LS11031 means a course from Life Science; the following five six digits represent the class type and division. If the first digit is 1 to 4, it refers to an undergraduate class. If the first digit is 5 or 6, it is a graduate course. If the first digit is  7 or 8, it is a doctoral level course. The last two digits represent the division.
6.How much is charged per credit? Is there any discount for NTHU alumni?
Undergraduate: NT2500 (per credit)
Graduate: NT3500(per credit)
10% off for NTHU alumni with a copy of your diploma
7.Will I get a refund if I drop the course in the middle of a semester?
Based on the "Rules of Continuing Education in University" set by the MOE, Point 1 of Regulation 11 states that 70% of the tuition fee will be refunded if the course  has not begun. If up to 1/3 of the course has been completed only 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded. After 1/3, no refund will be made.
8.Can continuing education students check out books from the library?
Yes, An "National Tsing Hua University Library Card Application Form (Students of Continuing Education)" must be filled out and stamped by the Division of Continuing Education before proceeding to the library.
