1.How do I apply to National Tsing Hua University?
You are able to apply On-line or download and print the international application. For more information, click here for international application procedures
2.What is a complete application?
To complete your application for admission, the following items must be submitted.
  • A completed International Application
  • A copy of your notarized diploma/certificate
  • Official transcripts for each school attended
  • Study plan within (2000 words about your dedication to your chosen program)
  • Medical report including HIV Test
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Financial statement (bank deposit, scholarship)
  • Department or Institute might request for addition supporting documents. For program specific requirements, click here
3.What should I do if I will not receive my diploma before application deadlines?
For applicants applying before receiving their diplomas, a certificate of expected graduation that states the anticipated graduation date from your institution is required.
4.Are standardized tests required for admission?
Only some Departments or Institutes require standardized tests for admission, click here for detail information
5.When should I apply for Admissions?
  • Spring semester: September 1
  • Fall semester: January 1
6.What are your application deadlines?
The deadline for a complete application for admission to reach us
  • Spring semester: November 1.
  • Fall semester: March 14.
7.Can I submit my complete application by electronic mail or fax?
No, NTHU does not accept the complete application sent by electronic mail or fax.
8.How many majors does NTHU offer?

9.Can I apply to more than one degree program?
Students can apply to several degree programs, but can only register for one program.
10.What is the application fee?
No application fee is charged for international applicants.
11.What scholarships are available through the university?
Tsing Hua International Student Scholarship (ISS) is guaranteed to be awarded to graduate students for the first year of study at NTHU. For more information on other scholarships offered by government bodies, click here

13.What is the definition of the international student?
International students are those with foreign nationality, neither overseas Chinese nor R.O.C nationals.
14.What are the office hours?
The office hours are as follows
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m
