[NTHU] Joint Faculty Recruitment: Department of Materials Science and Engineering & Institute of Biomedical Engineering

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, invite applications for tenure-track faculty positions at all levels, beginning February 2027.
Both units boast state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated support staff. Successful candidates are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, maintain a vigorous research program, and provide service to the university community.

1. Position & quota: Tenure-track faculty positions (all levels), multiple faculty positions available.

2. Area of expertise: Science and Engineering, Drug Delivery, Biomaterials, Nanomedicine.

3. Qualifications: PhD. degree in Material Science and Engineering or the related field, with outstanding performance on research and be able to offer classes in English.

4. Materials required:
  • Curriculum Vitae (including studying and working experiences, specialties, teaching interests, and research interests)
  • Hardcopy of degree certification
  • Grade reports of both undergraduate and graduate programs
  • List of publications (including N/M, Impact Factor, and citations)
  • Teaching & Research statements

7. Salary: In addition to the standard salary, we also offer the outstanding recruits a housing allowance of NT$ 10,000 per month, and an additional merit pay of NT$ 30,000 to 60,000 per month. The College of Engineering's Shuren Fund offers an additional salary of NT$20,000 per month to outstanding new faculty members with exceptional academic achievements. MSE Sustainable Funds might offer an additional salary of NT$10,000 per month to new faculty members.

8. In accordance with the MOST Subsidy Program for Recruiting Exceptional Talent in Higher Education Institutions, as well as the Ministry of Education's “Yushan Scholars” and “Yushan Youth Scholars” qualifications for outstanding individuals, our department will assist in the application process.
